Picked up Nearly Departed while vacationing in South Dakota this summer. What a great read! It moved so fast, so good, a real page turner. One of those you didn’t want to end. Would make a great movie. What gorgeous man would play Doc? Keep them coming you do a great job Ann!

    • Ann Charles says:

Thank you, Vicky! I have several thoughts on who could play Doc, but it’s always fun to hear who readers think would make a good “Doc” on the screen. I’m glad you enjoyed the story. Thank you for reading my book!
      Take care,

Absolutely loved listening to Nearly Departed… I already have the Kindle books of the rest of the series but I want to wait for the audiobooks before starting. When can we expect the second audiobook? Very soon, please?!

    • Ann Charles says:

Tony, I’m glad you enjoyed listening to Nearly Departed on Audio. Caroline did a great job narrating it. The 2nd book in the Deadwood series will be available on audiobook in February. Stay tuned for more. We’ll be getting the third book in that series into the audio format next, with the goal of having the first four books available in audio by year end. In the meantime, I’ll get the 5th book of the series out in book format this summer. Thanks, Ann

      • Tony Aguila says:

Thanks for the update, Ann. That would be Optical Delusions…, right? I’m assuming Ms Shaffer will be narrating this as well. The two of you make a great match!

        Can hardly wait! — Tony

Any update on books four and five coming to audio?

        • Ann Charles says:

          Hi Robin,
Book #4 is done. I listened to the final version and gave my OK about 2 weeks ago. It will probably be available in April. Caroline will then begin work on reading Deadwood #5. When it goes live depends on her schedule. I hope for it to be available this summer.

I have finished all the Deadwood and Jackrabbit series and the other books that are related to those two series. I am having bad withdrawal to visit Deadwood and Jackrabbit Junction again and see what those very colorful and interesting characters are up too, again! Please say you’ve got more books coming out soon…thank you, Teresa from Texas

    • Ann Charles says:

      Hi Teresa,
I’m about 2/3rds of the way done with the third book in the Jackrabbit series. It should be live in January 2014, so stay tuned. :) I appreciate you reading all of my books and am glad you have fun with my characters. They are fun to write about, too.
Thank you for writing to me!

I think your books are wonderful. Just finishing part four of the hardwood series, when will part five come out. Can’t wait to read about her children’s dad.

  6. Jennifer Wilson says:

will this book be available on Audible as well?

    • Ann Charles says:

I’m working to get all of my Deadwood series available in audio first, then we’ll work on the Jackrabbit series.

      • Jennifer Wilson says:

sorry, what I meant was will your books also be available at as well as downpour. I’ve been a member of audible for years and never heard of downpour (although we will become aquainted if it’s the only place I can buy your books in audio). It’s not a big deal just didn’t know if they can only be sold from one or the other. PS. if I haven’t said I am SO HAPPY that your books will be available on audio! And I just got my niece in law hooked on your books as well – it was easy – all she had to do was read one sentence :) Thank you
